THE JOB SHOPPE IS HIRING FULL-TIME PRINTING PRODUCTION OPERATORS

The Job Shoppe is hiring Full-Time Printing Production Operators to join our team at a printing facility in Lakeshore, Ontario. Our client strives to provide associates with everything needed to learn, grow, and succeed while on assignment. Lakeshore, Ontario

WAGE:
Base: $21.10/hr
 * Afternoons Shift Premium: $0.75/hr
 * Midnights Shift Premium: $1.00/hr

START DATE:
May Vary

POSITION TYPE:
Full-Time, On-going (must be available to work 40 hours weekly plus overtime)

SHIFTS:
 * Midnight Shift: 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
 * Swing Shift:
      - Days: 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
      - Afternoons: 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Printing Production Operators may work in various departments. Responsibilities and duties will change based on the assigned department. Successful candidates will be trained on their first day in a specific department; however, assignments may change throughout employment.

MOST COMMON DUTIES:
 * Receive, sort, and put away inventory
 * Operate printing machine controls to produce customer orders
 * Perform visual checks of finished products to ensure quality requirements are met
 * Scan and package products into appropriate bins
 * Retrieve carts of cut printed material and band individual orders
 * Scan, pick, and prepare customer orders for shipment
 * Build, pack, secure, and label boxes
 * Use scanners to read bar codes on products when processing orders
 * Follow on-screen prompts and instructions
 * Troubleshoot problems
 * Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
 * Adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards
 * Maintain a clean workstation

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
 * Clean and climate-controlled facility
 * Fast-paced work environment
 * Physically demanding role; may require standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs
 * Hearing and cutting protection provided by the client

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
 * Minimum of one year experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or fast-paced work environment
 * High School Diploma or GED equivalent
 * General computer skills (MS Office)
 * CSA-approved safety boots and glasses required
 * Reliable transportation (not on a bus route)
 * Repetitive use of both hands and good physical dexterity required
 * Availability to work 8-hour shifts and overtime as needed
 * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
 * Ability to follow instructions verbally and in writing
 * Able to work under tight deadlines
