THE JOB SHOPPE IS SEEKING AN OPERATIONAL ASSISTANT

LOCATION:
Windsor, ON

POSITION TYPE:
Full-time, Temporary

HOURLY WAGE:
$18.65/hour


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Handle inbound and outbound shipping processes and manage related documentation.
- Communicate with escort drivers to oversee and track cargo ETA.
- Collaborate with on-site staff to avoid congestion and ensure efficient site operations.
- Identify causes of incidents and prepare incident reports in coordination with on-site staff.
- Ensure safety updates are promptly communicated and organize both regular and irregular training sessions.
- Monitor attendance and coordinate with the manager for personnel adjustments as needed.
- Support HR functions by maintaining and updating internal data on on-site personnel.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years of logistics experience in a warehouse setting with inbound and outbound shipments.
- Comfortable balancing office tasks with operational logistics work, including staff attendance tracking and reporting.
- Post-secondary education in logistics or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Climate controlled (heated and air conditioned).

- SD/CSA-approved safety shoes
- Safety glasses
- Safety vest


PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE POSITION:
- Lifting, bending, and twisting as required, up to 50 lbs.
