<p>We are seeking a <strong>Bookkeeper/Financial Analyst</strong> to provide financial and accounting support to an organization for a contractual period.</p>
<p>This role is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation activities, supporting accurate financial records and informed decision-making in a public-sector environment.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced working within structured financial and compliance-driven environments.</p>

<strong>Wage:</strong> $34.00 - 36.00/hr<br>
<strong>Start Date:</strong> As soon as possible<br>
<strong>Position Type:</strong> Full-Time, Contract </p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities may include:</strong></p>
<p>Bookkeeping & Financial Administration</p>
<ul>
<li>Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
<li>Perform monthly bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve variances promptly
<li>Reconcile the general ledger, credit card, and clearing accounts
<li>Support payroll processing, expense claims, and invoice verification
<li>Ensure timely and accurate data entry, documentation, and audit trails
<li>Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with public-sector policies and procedures
</ul>
<p>Financial Analysis & Reporting</p>
<ul>
<li>Prepare financial reports, summaries, and variance analyses
<li>Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and expenditure monitoring
<li>Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and risks
<li>Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting requirements
<li>Assist with audit preparation and respond to audit inquiries as required
</ul>
<p>Compliance & Controls</p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure compliance with public-sector financial policies, internal controls, and legislation
<li>Support documentation and record retention requirements
<li>Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
</ul>
<p>Collaboration & Support</p>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with finance team members, managers, and internal stakeholders
<li>Provide financial information and support to departments as needed
</ul>
<p><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
<li>3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial analysis
<li>Experience in the public sector or a regulated environment is an asset
<li>Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
</ul>
<p><strong>Technical Skills</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with accounting or financial systems
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis)
<li>Hands-on experience with Sage accounting software
<li>Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
<li>Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
</ul>
