<p dir="ltr">The Job Shoppe is hiring a Recruitment Assistant to join our team in Tecumseh, Ontario. This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program and is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in recruitment, customer service, and office administration. You will support our team in delivering a positive candidate experience while learning the fundamentals of staffing and workforce operations.</p>

<p dir="ltr">What You’ll Be Doing</p>
<p dir="ltr">As a Recruitment Assistant, you will support the recruitment team with candidate engagement, administrative tasks, and day-to-day office operations.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Candidate Support and Engagement</p>
<ul>

<p dir="ltr">Greet and assist walk-in applicants in a professional and welcoming manner</p>

<p dir="ltr">Support job seekers with completing applications, resumes, and onboarding documents</p>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Schedule interviews, follow-ups, and orientation appointments</p>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Respond to general inquiries about job opportunities, shifts, and expectations</p>
</ul>
<p dir="ltr">Recruitment and Screening Support</p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Assist with initial candidate screenings, including application reviews and availability checks</p>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Conduct reference checks or employment verifications under supervision</p>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Update candidate profiles in ATS systems or internal trackers</p>
</ul>
<p dir="ltr">Job Posting and Marketing</p>
<ul>

<p dir="ltr">Assist in creating and updating job postings on job boards and social media platforms</p>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Promote opportunities through community outreach and local channels</p>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Prepare recruitment materials such as flyers, sign-in sheets, and onboarding packages</p>
</ul>
<p dir="ltr">Administrative and Office Support</p>

<p dir="ltr">Maintain organized interview rooms and front office areas</p>
<li dir="ltr">
<p dir="ltr">Assist with filing, scanning, photocopying, and document preparation</p>

<p dir="ltr">Track attendance for orientations, training sessions, and events</p>
</ul>
<p dir="ltr">Event and Program Support</p>

<p dir="ltr">Assist with job fairs, hiring events, and outreach initiatives</p>

<p dir="ltr">Help set up event materials and welcome participants</p>

<p dir="ltr">Support youth employment programs with intake and attendance tracking</p>

<p dir="ltr">Communication and Customer Service</p>

<p dir="ltr">Answer phones and direct calls appropriately</p>

<p dir="ltr">Provide general information about services to candidates and community partners</p>

<p dir="ltr">Send reminders for interviews, orientations, and document completion</p>

<p dir="ltr">Compliance and Documentation</p>

<p dir="ltr">Collect required employment documents such as SIN, ID, and banking information</p>

<p dir="ltr">Ensure forms are completed accurately before submission</p>

<p dir="ltr">Maintain confidentiality and follow all privacy policies</p>
</ul>
<p dir="ltr">Team Collaboration</p>

<p dir="ltr">Support recruiters and internal teams with daily priorities</p>

<p dir="ltr">Participate in team check-ins and meetings</p>
