How often will I get paid?

Payroll is processed weekly, with payments made every Friday.

What payment methods are available?

Associates receive their pay via direct deposit. As a standard practice, we do not issue cheques. In emergency situations, a cheque may be issued at a cost to the candidate with approval by The Job Shoppe. Please contact your recruiter if you are in such a situation.

How do I update my banking information?

Update your banking details through the self-serve forms section above.

When will I receive my first paycheque?

Your first paycheque will be processed on the first Friday after you have completed your week of work.

What should I do if there is an error on my paycheque?

If you notice any discrepancies, please complete the self-serve forms section above.

How can I access my pay stubs?

Pay stubs are available through our online payroll portal AD. ADP is a fully digital system that gives associates real-time access to their paystubs and tax statements. ADP allows you to update your personal information anytime.

New associates will receive a detailed email from our accounting department which outlines your first-time log in credentials.

Steps to Find Your Paystub in ADP:
1.) Log-iLogIn: Enter your ADP User Name and Password, then click the “Log In” button.
2.) Navigate to Pay Statements: Click on the "Myself" button at the top, then select "Pay" and "Pay Statements."
3.) View Paystub: Click on the "View" button next to the Cheque Image to access your detailed paystub.

Alternative View: For a list format, click "View as Table" on the right-hand side. Then, select the date in the Pay Date column to open the paystub.

Are there any deductions from my paycheque?

Yes, standard deductions such as taxes, and any assignment deductions (ex. a badge fee or union dues) will be deducted from your paycheque. Any assignment-related deductions will be discussed prior to associates prior to accepting a work assignment.

How do I request a payroll advance?

Payroll advances are not typically offered, but in case of emergencies, please contact HR to discuss your situation.

Can I get a summary of my yearly earnings?

Yes, annual earnings summaries (T-4 or W-2 forms) are provided at the end of each year and can be accessed through the online payroll portal, just like your weekly paycheques. T4 forms can be found under the 'Tax Forms' section in your ADP account and are available by the end of February for the prior year. W2 forms are also located under 'Tax Forms' in your ADP account and are typically available by the end of January for the prior year.

What is the Shift App Fee?

The Shift App Fee applies when associates are placed on assignments that require a time and attendance/scheduling app. The fee is deducted when an associate works at least one shift during the month for a client using the app. The Job Shoppe deducts this fee from the first paycheque of each month, or from the first pay once the associate begins work at a client requiring the app.

What are Union Dues?

Union Dues are monthly contributions made by associates working at a unionized client. These dues help secure fair wages, benefits, safe working conditions, and representation by pooling resources for the collective good. Dues are based on the number of hours worked: under or over 40 hours/month. Associates working more than 8 hours in a month at a unionized client must pay dues, which are calculated as a percentage of their regular wage. The Job Shoppe deducts these dues from the first paycheque of the month.

What is Perkopolis?

Perkopolis is one of The Job Shoppe’s WorkPerks programs that offers free enrollment to associates. As our way of saying thank you, Perkopolis provides access to exclusive discounts on a wide range of products and services, including travel, entertainment, retail, and more. It’s an easy way for associates to enjoy additional perks while working with us.
